Description
During a countryside drive and walk, I was lucky enough to come across many Canada geese winter feeding in many fields on waste grain, grasses sedges, and perhaps berries. Possibly before migrating to the mid-continent United States and places with freshwater marshes and an abundance of food crops to attract them.
While I was crouching low in a roadside ditch, trying not to scare the feeding Canadian Geese, a passing farm truck caught their attention, and in small groups they took to flight into the next field over, where they felt safe enough to land and continue their winter feed on the fodder left behind by the latest fall harvest.
